Microsoft Provides a Closer Look At The Xbox Project Scorpio Dev kit | Latest News

Microsoft plans to unveil its Xbox Project Scorpio console at E3, and now the company is making fun of its development kit before the E3 press event on Sunday. There is not much new information about the development kit since the first time we saw it in April, but the video tour gives us a closer look at the hardware and reveals that the development kits are different from the final console of Project Scorpio. Xbox engineer Kevin Gammill also reveals that some game developers are creating mini-games for the OLED screen at the front.

The screen is the only part of this Scorpio development kit, but it is unlikely that Microsoft will bring this to the console. The Microsoft Project Scorpio development kit also includes the same ports as the retail Scorpio unit, along with three USB ports on the front and a network card for debugging information. Inside, a slightly faster GPU, 24 GB of RAM (double drive), a 1TB SSD, as well as the 1TB hard drive from the retail console, and the ability to switch between Xbox One, One S the Scorpio. The kit also has vents on the sides so developers can stack units on top of one another.

Microsoft is expected to announce its nomination, price and final design of Project Scorpio at the E3 company press conference on Sunday. Microsoft's E3 event will begin at 2PM PT / 5PM ET on Sunday, June 11.
